In the name of Allah, and Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, [I perform Tawaf] out of belief in You, affirmation of Your Book, understanding Your command, and following the Sunnah of Your Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). O Allah, grant me well-being in my body, well-being in my hearing, and well-being in my sight. There is no god but You. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from poverty, weakness, and lethargy. I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave. There is no god but You. O Allah, guide me with guidance, remind me of piety, and forgive my sins. O Allah, I ask You for contentment after Your decree, a pleasant life after death, and the delight of looking at Your Face, and longing to meet You, without hardship causing harm or misguidance causing tribulation. O Allah, adorn me with the adornment of faith, and make me a guide who is guided. O Allah, I ask You for Paradise and whatever draws [us] to it of speech or action, and I seek refuge in You from the Hellfire and whatever draws [us] to it of speech or action. O Allah, I ask You to bestow upon me Your love, and the love of those whose love benefits me with You. O Allah, whatever You have provided me with that I love, make it a strength for me in what You love. O Allah, whatever You have kept away from me that I love, make it an emptiness for me in what You love. And between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone: 'Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.'

When to Read
This comprehensive dua is recommended to be recited during the seven rounds of Tawaf around the Ka'bah. While there isn't a prescribed specific dua for each individual round in the Sunnah, this extended supplication can be recited throughout the Tawaf, or segments of it can be used. The portion 'Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan...' is specifically recommended to be recited between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and concentration while performing Tawaf. It can be recited softly to oneself. Pay attention to the meaning of the words and reflect on your supplications. Remember to maintain your purity and reverence during this sacred act of worship. While this comprehensive dua is beneficial, remember the general Sunnah of making personal supplications (dua) throughout Tawaf, especially between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, where the Quranic verse is recommended.
Virtues & Benefits
Reciting this comprehensive dua during Tawaf can enhance the spiritual experience, drawing one closer to Allah through focused remembrance and supplication. It encompasses seeking well-being, forgiveness, guidance, and protection from Hellfire, reflecting a holistic approach to worship. The emphasis on seeking contentment, the pleasure of looking at Allah's Face, and longing for Him highlights the deep spiritual aspirations cultivated during this blessed act. The inclusion of the specific supplication between the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone is also highly meritorious, as this is a particularly blessed spot for dua.

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) performed Tawaf around the Ka'bah, and he was riding a camel. When he reached the corner (i.e., the Black Stone), he pointed to it with something he had with him. He said: 'Bismillah, Allahu Akbar. Allahumma imanan bika, wa tasdiqan bikitabika, wa fahman lihukmika, wa sunnata nabiyyika Muhammad sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam. And between the two corners (i.e., the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone): 'Rabbana atina fid-dunya hasanatan wa fil-akhirati hasanatan wa qina 'adhaban-nar.' (Our Lord, give us in this world [that which is] good and in the Hereafter [that which is] good and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.) - Sunan Ibn Majah 2918. The hadith describes the Prophet ﷺ performing Tawaf and uttering this supplication. It is understood that this extensive dua can be used throughout the Tawaf.
