اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا وَاسِعًا، وَشِفَاءً مِنْ كُلِّ دَاءٍ
O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, abundant provision, and healing from every disease.

When to Read
This dua is recommended to be recited while drinking Zamzam water. It is a time of great spiritual significance, as Zamzam water is considered blessed. Drinking it is an opportunity to make sincere supplications to Allah, seeking good in this life and the hereafter.
How to Read
Upon drinking Zamzam water, it is the Sunnah to stand, take three breaths between sips, and face the Qiblah. After taking a few sips, you can pause and make this dua, or any other sincere supplication you wish to make. Remember to drink with intention and presence, mindful of the blessings of Zamzam.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us that Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for. Making dua while drinking it is a way to seek specific blessings. This particular dua asks for beneficial knowledge, which is a means to worship Allah correctly and benefit oneself and others. It also asks for abundant provision, which encompasses sustenance in all its forms, and healing from all ailments, a comprehensive request for well-being. The Prophet ﷺ himself is reported to have said: 'Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for.' (Ibn Majah 3062, Sahih). This implies that our intentions and supplications at the time of drinking are crucial.

Ibn Abbaas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'Zamzam water is for what it is drunk for.' (Sunan Ibn Majah 3062). In another narration, it is reported that the Prophet (ﷺ) said: 'The difference between us and the hypocrites is that they do not drink Zamzam water to their fill.' (Sunan Ibn Majah 3061, Sahih). Abdullah ibn al-Mubarak, when he drank Zamzam water, said: 'O Allah, I ask You for a thirst-quenching drink on the Day of Thirst (Day of Judgment).' (Mentioned in various tafsir works and attributed by scholars to his practice as a pious individual following the spirit of the Sunnah).
