Dua for the Protection of the Kaaba and Sacred Mosques

اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ

O Allah, we ask You to make them [our enemies] face us, and we seek refuge in You from their evil.

Allahumma inna naj'aluka fi nuhurihim wa na'udhu bika min shururihim

When to Read

This dua is particularly poignant when one reflects upon the sanctity of the Kaaba and the Masjid al-Haram, and fears for their safety from any aggressor or those who wish them harm. It is a general supplication for protection against evil directed towards the sacred sites and the people within them. One might recite this during times of global unrest, or when contemplating the historical attempts to harm the Kaaba, or simply as a regular practice to safeguard these blessed places.

How to Read

This dua should be recited with sincere intention and deep reliance on Allah. It is a statement of seeking Allah's direct intervention and protection, placing the supposed aggressors in Allah's direct path while simultaneously seeking refuge from their malice. It is best recited with a present heart, visualizing Allah's power and protection encompassing the Kaaba and all its surroundings.

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to supplicate, he would say: 'Allahumma inna naj'aluka fi nuhurihim wa na'udhu bika min shururihim' (O Allah, we ask You to make them face us, and we seek refuge in You from their evil).
