Virtues & Benefits
This is a comprehensive dua that encompasses the best of both worlds. By asking for 'hasanah' (goodness) in this life, we are seeking well-being, righteous deeds, beneficial knowledge, and a pleasing outcome in our worldly affairs. Asking for 'hasanah' in the Hereafter covers forgiveness, entry into Jannah, and being pleased with Allah's judgment. The plea to be protected from the Fire is a fundamental request for salvation. The Quran mentions this dua in the context of those who remember Allah after their obligations are fulfilled, signifying its importance in maintaining spiritual momentum.
