اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ

O Allah, open for me the doors of Your mercy.

Allahumma-ftah li abwaba rahmatik

When to Read

This dua is to be recited specifically when one has the unique opportunity to step inside the Kaaba. This is a rare occasion, typically granted to dignitaries or by special permission. If granted this immense blessing, one should recite this dua upon taking that first step across the threshold.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincere intention and a full heart, acknowledging the immense blessing and seeking Allah's boundless mercy. It is said upon physically entering the Kaaba itself.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When you enter the Kaabah, say: Allahumma-ftah li abwaba rahmatik.' (Sahih Muslim 1218)
