My Lord, cause me to enter a gate of truth and cause me to exit a gate of truth and grant me from Yourself a supporting authority.

When to Read

This powerful dua is recommended to be recited when you reach Maqam Ibrahim (the Station of Ibrahim) after completing your Tawaf during Hajj or Umrah. The Quran directs us to take the place of Ibrahim as a place of prayer: "And take you [O Muslims] the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer." (Al-Baqarah 2:125). Standing here, remembering Ibrahim's sacrifice and struggle, is a profound moment to supplicate.

How to Read

After completing your Tawaf around the Ka'bah, you proceed to Maqam Ibrahim. Ideally, you should then pray two rak'ahs of salah behind it, reciting Surah Al-Kafirun in the first rak'ah and Surah Al-Ikhlas in the second. Following this prayer, you can recite this specific dua. It's a time to focus your heart, turn to Allah with sincerity, and ask Him for entry and exit in truth, reflecting the sincerity of Ibrahim (peace be upon him) himself.

Virtues & Benefits

This verse, revealed in the context of the Prophet's (๏ทบ) journey and migration, is a comprehensive supplication for integrity and divine assistance in all beginnings and endings. By reciting it at Maqam Ibrahim, we ask Allah to grant us sincerity in our actions, truthfulness in our intentions, and to enable us to depart from situations and places with honor and success, always supported by His strength and authority. It's a request for a righteous path throughout life's journeys.
