Verily, Allah has in every Friday six virtues: He created Adam on it, and no one died on Friday except as a martyr, and Friday absolves us (of sins) from one Friday to the next, and in it is an hour when the gates of heaven are opened, the winds bring good tidings, and the earth is blessed. And it is the Day of Distinction, and it is the Day of Friday. So, whoever's Friday is better than his other days, it is better than a thousand months. And there is nothing that does not look forward to Friday. So, Friday is a day of celebration, and the Eid of the Muslims. And the Prophet ﷺ was informed that it is a day of Eid, and he said: 'This is a day of Eid which Allah has made for the Muslims. So, whoever comes to Friday prayer should take a bath, use perfume if available, use a toothpick, go early, pray what has been decreed for him, and listen attentively when the Imam comes out. For verily, that is an expiation for what is between that Friday and the next, and for three more days. And that is an increase.'

Coming to Jumu'ah prayer with the prescribed etiquette is an expiation for sins between one Friday and the next, plus three additional days. The day itself is a source of immense spiritual benefit, likened to an Eid for Muslims, and good deeds performed on this day are multiplied, potentially being better than a thousand months. Embracing these virtues can lead to a feeling of relief and lightness from worldly worries and sins.
