O Allah, protect me through Islam while I am standing, protect me through Islam while I am sitting, and protect me through Islam while I am sleeping. Do not let an enemy or an envier gloat over me. O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that surrounds me.
Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik, wa a'udhu bika mimma ahata bi minash-sharr.

The narration comes from Abdullah bin 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) who said: The Prophet ﷺ used to teach them this dua in the same way he used to teach them a Surah from the Qur'an. He would say: 'Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min 'adhabi Jahannama wa min 'adhibal-qabri wa min fitnatil-mahya wal-mafati wa min sharri fitnatil-masihid-dajjal.' (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of Hell, and from the punishment of the grave, and from the trials of life and death, and from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah.) Then he mentioned two other things. And Abdullah bin 'Abbas mentioned: 'And the Prophet ﷺ used to teach us this dua: Allahumma ihfazni bil-Islami qa'iman, wahfazni bil-Islami qa'idan, wahfazni bil-Islami raqidan, wa la tushmit bi 'aduwwan wa la hasidan. Allahumma inni as'aluka min fadlik, wa a'udhu bika mimma ahata bi minash-sharr.' (O Allah, protect me through Islam while I am standing, protect me through Islam while I am sitting, and protect me through Islam while I am sleeping. Do not let an enemy or an envier gloat over me. O Allah, I ask You of Your bounty, and I seek refuge in You from the evil that surrounds me.)
