Narrated Tawus: I heard Ibn 'Abbas saying that he heard Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying: "A servant does not ask for something from Allah but Allah grants him what he asks for, or He averts from him the evil equal to what he asks for, as long as he does not ask for something sinful or for the severance of the ties of kinship."
