Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ascended the pulpit and said: Ascend the pulpit with me. So he ascended it, and he supplicated. Then he descended and prayed the two rak'ahs (of Zuhr prayer). Then he said: Verily, a person should know that he is praying in the presence of his Lord, the Almighty, the Glorified. And he should supplicate like the supplication of a person bidding farewell, and say: Allahumma-ghfir li dhanbi kullahu, diqqahu wa jillahu, awwalahu wa akhirahu, 'alaniyatahu wa sirrahu (O Allah, forgive me all my sins, the minor and the major, the first and the last, the apparent and the hidden).
