โœฆ

O Allah, Remover of worry, Revealer of distress, and Answerer of the supplications of the desperate, forgive my sins, relieve my distress, make my affair easy for me, and grant me a way out from my predicament. O Allah, I ask You for a good end, success in Paradise, and salvation from the Hellfire. O Allah, make my childbirth easy for me, and make it simple and facilitated, and make it a blessing for me and my child. O Ever-Living, O Self-Subsisting, by Your mercy I seek help.

Allahumma inni as'aluka husnal khitam, wal fawza bil jannah, wan najata min an-nar. Allahumma yassir 'alayya wiladati, waj'alhu sahlan muyassaran, waj'alhu barakatan li wa li waladi. Ya Hayyu ya Qayyum bi rahmatika astagheeth.

It is recommended to recite it frequently during the final stages of pregnancy, especially as the due date approaches and labor begins. It can be recited daily, or more intensely during times of anticipation for childbirth.

How to Read

Recite with sincere intention and full concentration, turning to Allah (SWT) with humility and trust. Face the Qiblah if possible, maintain a state of purity (wudu), and believe in Allah's power to ease the trial. Repeating the dua multiple times can amplify its effect, focusing on the meaning of each phrase. It is also beneficial for the husband or close family members to recite this dua for the expectant mother.

Virtues & Benefits

Friday is a significant day in Islam, referred to as 'Sayyid al-Ayyam' (the master of days), and supplications made on this day have a special potential for acceptance. This comprehensive dua addresses the anxieties and physical challenges of childbirth, seeking Allah's ease, forgiveness, and a blessed outcome. The mention of 'Ya Hayyu Ya Qayyum' is a profound invocation of Allah's essential attributes of Everlasting Life and Self-Sufficiency, highlighting our absolute dependence on Him. The ultimate goal is not just an easy birth, but a good end (husnul khitam) and a blessed child, reflecting a holistic Islamic perspective on life events.
