O Allah, Remover of anxiety, and Dispeller of distress, and Answerer of the supplication of the desperate, make what is in my womb easy and facilitated, and cast terror into the hearts of my enemies, and suffice me from the evil of the envious, and forgive me, my parents, and the believing men and women on the Day of Judgment.
Allahumma ya farij al-ham, wa ya kashif al-ghamm, wa ya mujib da'wat al-mudtarrin, ij'al ma fi batni sahlan wa yaseeran, waqthif ar-ru'ba fi qulubi a'da'i, wakfini sharra al-hasidin, waghfir li wa liwalidayya wa lilmu'minina walmu'minat, yawm al-qiyamah.
When to Read
This dua is particularly potent when recited on a Friday, the most blessed day of the week. A pregnant woman can recite it regularly, especially during the final months of pregnancy, and with utmost sincerity and reliance on Allah as her labor approaches. It's a time when prayers are more readily accepted, and the added blessings of Friday can be a source of immense comfort and strength.
How to Read
Recite with a sincere heart, full conviction in Allah's power, and a clear intention for a safe and easy delivery. Face the Qiblah if possible, raise your hands (as is customary in supplication), and focus on the meaning of the words. Beseech Allah with humility and persistence, and remember to also seek the help of the Prophet's ﷺ Sunnah through other recommended duas for pregnancy and childbirth.
Virtues & Benefits
This comprehensive dua seeks Allah's protection and facilitation during the critical period of childbirth. It asks for ease in delivery, safeguarding from any potential harm or envy, and extends forgiveness, encompassing the well-being of the mother, her child, and her family on the Day of Judgment. Reciting on Friday amplifies the hope for acceptance, as the Prophet ﷺ mentioned: 'The best day on which the sun has risen is Friday. On it, Adam was created, on it he was sent down (to Earth), on it he was pardoned, on it he died, and on it the Hour will be established. In it there are five things: the Prophet ﷺ said, in Friday there is an hour in which if a person asks Allah for anything, he will give it to him.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 1046, Sahih).
