Allahumma taqabbal minni salati wa 'amali yawm al-Jumu'ah
When to Read
This dua is particularly potent to be recited on the blessed day of Jumu'ah, especially after completing your prayers or at any point during the day when you feel a connection to Allah. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ emphasized the significance of Jumu'ah, and seeking Allah's acceptance of our worship on this day is a beautiful practice.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a humble heart. Imagine Allah accepting your efforts, big or small. It can be recited aloud or silently. The key is focusing your intention on seeking Allah's pleasure and acceptance for your prayers and all good deeds performed on this special day.
Virtues & Benefits
The primary benefit is seeking Allah's acceptance of our worship. When our prayers and deeds are accepted, Allah showers us with His blessings and increases our closeness to Him. The day of Jumu'ah itself holds immense virtue, as mentioned in the Quran (Al-Jumu'ah 62:9): 'O you who have believed, when [the adhan] is called for the prayer on the day of Jumu'ah [the congregational prayer], then proceed to the remembrance of Allah and leave trade. That is better for you, if you should know.' Seeking acceptance on this day amplifies our potential reward.

Ibn Majah narrated from Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'The best day on which the sun has risen is the day of Jumu'ah. On this day, Adam was created, on this day he was sent down to earth, on this day he was forgiven, on this day he died, and on this day the Hour will be established. On it there are five matters: seeing God with one's own eyes, the forgiveness of all sins, deliverance from hell, the acceptance of all supplications, and the granting of all requests, except that which is asked of the creation.' [Narrated by Abu Ya'la, Ibn Hibban and Al-Bayhaqi, and its chain is Hasan]. This dua directly relates to seeking acceptance of supplications and deeds on this day.
