Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: 'There is no plague that comes without a plague of the Jinn, and there is no year of rain that comes without a year of Jinn's plague. And when you hear of plague in a land, do not go to it, and when it appears in the land where you are, do not go out of it.' [This hadith is quoted for context regarding seeking refuge. The specific dua for protection from evil is found in other narrations.] Another relevant narration: Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) used to seek refuge in Allah for Al-Hasan and Al-Husain saying: 'I seek refuge for you two with Allah’s perfect words, from every devil and every beast, and from every evil eye.' Then he would say: 'Your father [Ibrahim (peace be upon him)] used to seek refuge with Allah for Ishmael and Isaac with these same words.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 3371)
