Fear
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 2713

I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whisperings of the devils and from their presence.

Source & Authentication

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'A man once came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'O Allah's Messenger! I was stung by a scorpion last night.' He replied: 'Had you said, when you entered the evening: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq - I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created), it would not have harmed you.' (Sahih Muslim 2708). In another narration, the Prophet ﷺ taught a slightly longer version: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ غَضَبِهِ وَعِقَابِهِ، وَشَرِّ عِبَادِهِ، وَمِنْ هَمَزَاتِ الشَّيَاطِينِ وَأَنْ يَحْضُرُونِ (A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min ghadabihi wa 'iqabihi, wa sharri 'ibadihi, wa min hamazatis-shayateeni wa an yahdurun - I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from His anger and His punishment, and from the evil of His servants, and from the whisperings of the devils and from their presence).
