This comprehensive dua, known for its broad scope, can be recited at any time. It is particularly beneficial to remember it when feeling a sense of pride or self-satisfaction that might verge on the 'evil eye' of one's own admiration. Making it a regular part of your daily supplications ensures you are continuously seeking Allah's blessings and protection from all forms of harm, including that which might stem from our own internal states.

How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, understanding its profound meaning. Face the Qiblah if possible, raise your hands in supplication, and begin with glorifying Allah and sending blessings upon the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Virtues & Benefits

This dua encapsulates a request for comprehensive well-being, encompassing both worldly blessings and eternal salvation. By asking for 'hasanah' (goodness) in this life, we encompass health, sustenance, good character, successful endeavors, and protection from calamities. In the Hereafter, it covers all that is pleasing to Allah and leads to His Paradise. Seeking protection from the Fire is a direct plea for ultimate safety and success. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself frequently recited this dua, highlighting its immense importance and efficacy. It serves as a potent shield against self-deception and excessive pride, which can be a subtle form of harm or 'evil eye' directed at oneself, diverting one's focus from Allah.
