I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.

‘Uthman ibn ‘Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever says this three times in the morning will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the evening, and whoever says it three times in the evening will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity until the morning." He added: 'Abdullah ibn Khubaib narrated to me that he said: 'Uthman ibn 'Affan reported: 'The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) commanded me to recite these words in the morning and in the evening: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ (*A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq*).'
