In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth nor in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.
Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Aleem
When to Read
This powerful dua is best recited in the morning and evening. It's a shield against all forms of harm, including the subtle, destructive effects of envy (hasad) on our spiritual journey. When you feel a sense of unease, or if you notice others experiencing difficulties after you've shared your blessings, or even if you fear your own blessings might become a source of envy for others, this is a perfect time to turn to this protection.
How to Read
Recite this dua three times in the morning after Fajr prayer and three times in the evening after Asr or Maghrib prayer. Utter it with sincere intention and full conviction in Allah's power to protect you. Imagine its words creating a protective aura around you, safeguarding your faith and your spiritual progress from any ill intentions or the ill effects of envy.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ promised immense protection to the one who recites this dua: 'Whoever says this three times in the morning, nothing will harm him that day, and whoever says it three times in the evening, nothing will harm him that night.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 3864). Envy can poison our hearts and hinder our spiritual growth by fostering discontent, resentment, and pride. By seeking refuge in Allah with this dua, we protect our inner peace and ensure that our blessings are a source of gratitude and a means for further closeness to Allah, rather than a target for destructive envy.

Narrated by Uthman bin Affan (may Allah be pleased with him): I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Whoever says: *Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Aleem* (In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on earth nor in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing) - three times, then he will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until morning, and whoever says it in the morning three times, then he will not be afflicted by sudden calamity until evening.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 3864, Sunan Ibn Majah 3548 - Sahih)
