In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in heaven can cause harm, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.

It is particularly beneficial when feeling overwhelmed by worries, facing daunting challenges, or experiencing a general sense of unease that can lead to disappointment and frustration. How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere intention and full conviction in Allah's power to protect. It is recommended to read it while being mindful of its meaning, understanding that you are entrusting your well-being to the Almighty. Some scholars also suggest placing your hands on your chest while reciting, focusing your heart on seeking refuge in Allah. The act of reciting it consistently in the morning and evening creates a shield of protection throughout the day and night.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua offers comprehensive protection. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this supplication to his companions, including Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) when he complained of a pain in his body. The Prophet ﷺ instructed him to recite it, and by Allah's will, the pain left him. This demonstrates its efficacy against physical ailments. More importantly, for the context of disappointment and frustration, it serves as a spiritual armor against the negativity that can creep into our hearts when things don't go as planned. By seeking refuge in Allah's name, we acknowledge that He is the ultimate source of power and control, thereby diminishing the power of our own anxieties and despair. It fosters reliance on Allah (Tawakkul) and reinforces our faith, which are crucial in navigating life's inevitable setbacks.
