Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to seek refuge in Allah for Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn saying: 'I seek refuge in Allah's perfect words from every devil and every poisonous animal and from every evil eye.' Then he would say: 'It was the Prophet's practice to say this.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 5721). Narrated 'Aisha: (The practice of) invoking Allah for protection against the evil eye is permissible in Islam. The Prophet (ﷺ) used to invoke Allah for protection for some of his wives by passing his right hand over their bodies and saying: 'O Allah, Lord of the people, remove the disease, heal it and You are the One Who cures, and there is no sickness that could harm it.' When the Prophet (ﷺ) went to visit a young man of his family who was sick, he used to say: 'O Allah, give him health, and let him return the same as he was created (from Adam), for he was created healthy.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 5740). Anas bin Malik narrated that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: 'The influence of the eye is a truth.' (Sahih Muslim 2187). Another narration from Anas bin Malik: Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) permitted ruqyah for the evil eye.
