أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq
When to Read
This powerful invocation is particularly beneficial when you feel physically weak or unwell, as illness can sometimes make us more vulnerable. It's a proactive measure to seek Allah's protection, especially if you suspect the evil eye might be a contributing factor to your ailment or fatigue. Recite it frequently, especially in the morning and evening, or whenever you feel a sense of unease or physical decline.
How to Read
Recite this dua three times in the morning and three times in the evening. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to blow into our hands and recite these words, then wipe over whatever parts of our body we can reach, starting with the head and face. Doing so with sincerity and conviction, focusing on Allah's power to protect, enhances its efficacy.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua is a comprehensive shield against all forms of evil, including the evil eye. By seeking refuge in Allah's 'perfect words,' we acknowledge His absolute power and His creation's limitations. The Prophet ﷺ stated that whoever recites this three times daily, nothing will harm him. This protection extends to physical well-being, making it a vital supplication when one is experiencing weakness or illness.

Narrated by Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "No one is afflicted with the evil eye, but that he will be taken down (to the grave)." And when the killer of sheep is killed, he says, 'Woe unto you! What is this?' He (the Prophet) said, 'This is by the saying of one of you, seeking Allah's forgiveness.' Then he said, 'Whoever says: *A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq* (I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created) - then nothing will harm him until he gets up from his resting place."
