How to Read

Recite this dua with sincerity and a present heart as you cross the threshold of your home. Source & Authentication

Narrated by Abdullah bin Busr: The Prophet (peace be upon him) did not enter the house of [his companions] but he would supplicate for them, saying: 'O Allah, bless them in their graves, bless them in their [loins].' Another narration: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When a man enters his house, he should say: O Allah, I ask You for good at the entrance and good at the exit, in the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we exit, and in Allah our Lord we put our trust.' And when he stayed overnight, he would say: 'O Allah, I ask You for good at the entrance and good at the exit, in the name of Allah we enter and in the name of Allah we exit, and in Allah our Lord we put our trust.' (This narration is slightly different in wording and may refer to a different context but the essence of seeking Allah’s name and trust upon entering is present).
