Narrated by Abu Malik Al-Ash'ari: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When a man enters his house and remembers Allah the Mighty and Majestic at the time of his entering and at the time of his eating, then Satan says: 'You have no place to spend the night and no food.' When he enters and does not remember Allah the Mighty and Majestic at the time of his entering, then Satan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night.' And when he does not remember Him at the time of his eating, then Satan says: 'You have found a place to spend the night and food.' (Sunan Abi Dawud 3764, graded Hasan). Another narration mentions: The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'When one of you enters his house, let him say: Bismillah walajna, wa bismillah kharajna, wa 'ala Allah Rabbina tawakkalna' (In the name of Allah we enter, and in the name of Allah we leave, and in Allah our Lord we depend). Then let him greet his family.' (Sunan Ibn Majah 3897, graded Hasan).
