Duas for children and offspring
Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair a right guidance.
O Allah, grant my soul its taqwa (consciousness of You), and purify it, for You are the Best Purifier. You are its Guardian and its Master.
O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and protect me from what frightens me. O Allah, guard me from before me and from behind me, from my right and from my left, and from above me. And I seek refuge in Your Magnificence from being struck from beneath me.
In the name of Allah, I rely on Allah. There is no might nor power except with Allah.
O Allah, I am Your servant, son of Your servant, son of Your female servant. My forelock is in Your hand. Your judgment upon me is effective. Your decree concerning me is just. I ask You by every name that You have called Yourself, or revealed to any of Your creation, or sent down in Your Book, or kept to Yourself in the knowledge of the unseen which You possess, that You make the Qur'an the springtime of my heart, the light of my chest, the banisher of my grief, and the reliever of my worries.
O Allah, teach me wisdom, and make me understand, and increase me in knowledge.
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
O Allah, guide me and make me firm in righteousness, and remember Your truth through my deeds, and protect me from the evil of my soul.
My Lord, grant me from among the righteous [offspring].
O Allah, teach him (or her) the Book (the Quran)
O Allah, guide me and make me righteous, and by Your guidance direct me to the right way, and by Your success make my affairs straight, and I bear witness that there is no god but You. I seek Your forgiveness and turn to You in repentance.
O Allah, grant him wisdom and understanding in religion, make him firm on the straight path, teach him interpretation (of the Quran and Sunnah), increase him in guidance, faith, and certainty, and protect him from all evil.
