Source & Authentication

It was narrated from Abu Dharr that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: 'Allah, Mighty and Sublime is He, says: ‘O My slaves, you will not be able to harm Me or benefit Me. O My slaves, if the first of you and the last of you, and all of mankind and Jinn of you, were to be as pious as the most pious heart of any one man amongst you, that would not increase My kingdom in anything. O My slaves, if the first of you and the last of you, and all of mankind and Jinn of you, were to be as wicked as the most wicked heart of any one man amongst you, that would not decrease My kingdom in anything. O My slaves, if the first of you and the last of you, and all of mankind and Jinn of you, were to stand on one plain and you were to ask Me and I were to give every man what he asked for, that would not decrease what I have except what is decreased by the needle when it is dipped in the ocean. O My slaves, it is only your deeds that I reckon for you and then I will repay you for them. So whoever finds good, let him praise Allah, and whoever finds other than that, let him blame only himself.’” He said: 'And Abu Dharr used to narrate from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) with this meaning.'
