Weather & Nature
Sahih HadithSahih Muslim 2054

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ

In the name of Allah, I seek refuge in Allah and in His Power from the evil of what I find and what I fear.

Bismillah, a'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru.

When to Read

This dua is incredibly versatile. When you notice any signs of pests beginning to affect your crops or livestock, or if you fear the evil eye upon them, recite this with sincerity. It's also beneficial to recite it regularly as a preventative measure, perhaps in the morning or evening, or before tending to your farm or animals.

How to Read

Recite this supplication with conviction, directing your heart and mind towards Allah (SWT). Place your hand on the affected area (if applicable) or visualize your crops and livestock as you make the dua. It's a personal plea, so speak from the heart, trusting in Allah's ability to protect.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua embodies the core of Tawakkul (reliance on Allah). By seeking refuge in His name and power, we acknowledge that ultimate protection comes only from Him. It's a shield against visible and invisible harm, including the destructive effects of pests and the potent malice of the evil eye, which can bring about misfortune and loss.

Source & Authentication

It was narrated from 'Abdullah bin 'Amr that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) taught him a supplication to recite in case of pain in the body. He said: "Place your hand on the part where you feel pain and say: 'Bismillah' (In the name of Allah), three times, and say seven times: 'A'udhu billahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru' (I seek refuge in Allah and in His Power from the evil of what I find and what I fear)."
