Narrated by Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him): A man came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what a night I had last night! I was stung by a scorpion.' Upon this, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'As for your saying: 'What a night I had last night!' it is because you said: *Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri ma khalaq* (O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You have created). Had you said this in the evening, it would not have harmed you.' (Sahih Muslim 2708).
