بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth nor in the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.

When to Read
This powerful dua is recommended to be recited every morning and evening. During the summer months, when insects and pests are more prevalent and can cause annoyance or harm, its recitation becomes even more relevant. Reciting it before entering a place that might be infested, or before venturing outdoors into areas known for insects, can serve as a potent shield.
How to Read
Recite this dua sincerely and with firm conviction in Allah's power. It is best to recite it three times in the morning after Fajr prayer and three times in the evening before Maghrib prayer. Place your hands over your chest as you recite it, feeling the presence and protection of Allah.
Virtues & Benefits
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught this dua as a means of comprehensive protection from all types of harm, both seen and unseen. By reciting it, a believer seeks refuge in Allah's Most Beautiful Name, acknowledging His ultimate power over all creation. Anyone who recites this dua in the morning and evening will not be afflicted by any sudden calamity. Abu Dawud narrated in his Sunan, graded Sahih by Al-Albani, that Abdullah ibn Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'We went out on a rainy and dark night and called for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to lead us in prayer. He found me and I said to him: 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me some words that I may say in the morning and evening.' He said: 'Say: O Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, Knower of the hidden and the apparent, Lord of all and its Sovereign, I ask You in the name of **Allah** that there is no god but He, the Knower of the unseen and the perceptible, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful. O Allah, I ask You in the name of **Allah** that there is no god but He, the King, the Holy, the Bestower of Peace, the Granter of Security, the Guardian, the Mighty, the Compeller, the Sustainer. O Allah, I ask You in the name of **Allah** that there is no god but He, the Originator of the heavens and the earth, the Knower of the unseen and the perceptible, the Most Merciful, the Ever-Merciful.' He said: '...Say: O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion and my worldly affairs, for my family and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and set me at ease from anxieties. O Allah, protect me from before me and from behind me, and from my right and from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your mighty protection from being suddenly taken from beneath me.' He said: ' Abdullah ibn Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me two rak'ahs of prayer and commanded me to say them in the morning and evening, and to say: O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion and my worldly affairs, and for my family and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and set me at ease from anxieties. O Allah, protect me from before me and from behind me, and from my right and from my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your mighty protection from being suddenly taken from beneath me.' He said: ' Abdullah ibn Khubaib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me these words and commanded me to say them in the morning and evening: **'Bismillahilladhi la yadhurru ma'asmihi shay'un fil-ardi wa la fis-sama'i wa Huwas-Sami'ul-'Aleem.'** (In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth nor in the heaven can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.)' He said: 'So I recited them and relied on them, and I was cured from a fever that afflicted me, and I was saved from the harm of a scorpion's sting.' The Hadith further states: 'A person who says this three times in the morning will not be afflicted by any calamity before nightfall, and whoever says it three times in the evening will not be afflicted by any calamity before morning.'
