O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I may not need anyone other than You.

Ahmad narrated from Al-Abbas ibn Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me something I can ask Allah for.' He said: 'O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this life and the Hereafter.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me something I can ask Allah for.' He said: 'O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my faults and make me feel secure from what I fear.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, teach me something I can ask Allah for.' He said: 'O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.' Then he said to me: 'O Al-Abbas, O uncle of the Messenger of Allah, indeed these are the supplications that your servants ask with, and they are the sustenance of this world and the Hereafter. I have been given these words and I have supplicated with them.' Then he said to me: 'O Al-Abbas, ask Allah by His favor and His bounty.' So I said: 'O Allah, I ask You for well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family and my wealth. O Allah, indeed I ask You for well-being, and I ask You to make my religion a protection for me, and I ask You to make my worldly affairs a provision for me, and I ask You to make my family kind to me. O Allah, do not give power to an enemy over me, nor to one who does not fear me.' Then he said: 'O Al-Abbas, say: O Allah, I ask You for the sustenance of Your grace, the blessings of Your bounty, the complete of Your favors, the abundance of Your provisions, the generosity of Your giving, the fulfillment of Your generosity, and that You make me independent of all created beings.' He said: 'This is a good supplication.' Then he said: 'O Al-Abbas, say: O Allah, suffice me with Your lawful provision instead of Your unlawful provision, and enrich me with Your grace, so that I may not need anyone other than You.' He said: 'This is a supplication for you, and for whomever asks for it after you from my Ummah.'" (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3563, Sahih).
