Virtues & Benefits
This statement was famously uttered by Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was thrown into the fire, and by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and his companions when facing the enemy at the Battle of Uhud. The fact that Allah mentions its efficacy in the Quran, "...who said, 'Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best disposer of affairs,'" (Surah Al 'Imran 3:173) highlights its immense power. Reciting it with sincerity can bring peace to the heart, alleviate worries, and invoke Allah's direct intervention and protection during times of severe distress.
Source & Authentication
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): 'Sufficient for us is Allah, and He is the best disposer of affairs.' Ibrahim (peace be upon him) said it when he was thrown into the fire, and Muhammad ﷺ said it when they said, 'Verily, the people have gathered against you [in force], so fear them.' But it only increased them in faith, and they said, 'Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best disposer of affairs.' Sahih al-Bukhari 4563.
