Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could not have achieved it ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You for righteousness and piety in our journey, and for deeds that please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the One Who guards the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, the sorrow of seeing [evil], and the bad luck in wealth and family when returning. When he returned from a journey, he would say 'Allahu Akbar' three times and then say: 'We are returning, repenting, worshipping, and to our Lord we are thankful.'

Allahumma hawwin 'alayna safarana hadha, watwi lana al-ardh. Allahumma Antas-Sahibu fis-safar, wal-khalifatu fil-ahl. Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min wa'tha'is-safari, wa ka'abatil-manzhari, wa su'il-munqalabi fil-mali wal-ahl. Source & Authentication
When the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) mounted his camel for a journey, he would glorify Allah by saying 'Subhan Allah' three times, and then say: 'Glory be to Him Who has subjected this to us, and we could not have achieved it ourselves. And indeed, to our Lord we will return. O Allah, we ask You for righteousness and piety in our journey, and for deeds that please You. O Allah, make this journey easy for us and shorten its distance for us. O Allah, You are the Companion on the journey and the One Who guards the family. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the hardships of the journey, the sorrow of seeing [evil], and the bad luck in wealth and family when returning.' When he returned from a journey, he would say 'Allahu Akbar' three times, and then say: 'We are returning, repenting, worshipping, and to our Lord we are thankful.' He would do this three times. He would also say: 'We are returning to our Lord, accepting His repentance, our hearts are cleansed, and it is for Allah that we have gained (in wealth and knowledge), and to our Lord we return.'
