Success
Sahih HadithSunan Abi Dawud 4949

O Allah, unite our hearts, and set right that which is between us, and guide us to the paths of peace. Deliver us from darkness into the light. Keep us away from all shameful deeds, outward and inward. And bless our hearing, our sight, our hearts, our spouses, and our offspring. And turn to us (in forgiveness); indeed, You are the Accepter of Repentance, the Merciful.

Allahumma allif bayna qulubina, wa aslih dhata baynina, wahdina subulas-salam, wa najjina minadh-dhulumati ilan-nur, wa jannibnal-fawâhisha ma dhahara minha wa ma batan, wa barik lana fi asma'ina, wa absarina, wa qulubina, wa azwajina, wa dhurriyyatina, wa tub 'alayna, innaka Antat-Tawwabur-Rahim.

Virtues & Benefits

This comprehensive dua directly asks Allah for the unification of hearts and the resolution of disputes, which is a highly commendable act in Islam. Reconciling people is a form of worship that draws Allah's pleasure. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'Shall I not inform you of a thing better than fasting, charity, and prayer?' They said: 'Yes.' He said: 'It is reconciling the ties of enmity and hatred. Verily, the ties of enmity and hatred are the 'shaver' (of religion).' (Sahih Muslim 2563). This hadith highlights the immense importance of reconciliation, portraying it as a deed that can 'shave' or remove sins and even detrimental effects on one's faith. This specific dua also encompasses seeking guidance to the paths of peace, protection from wrongdoing, and blessings in one's family, making it a holistic supplication for well-being.
