QuranQuran 14:40

رَبِّ اجْعَلْنِي مُقِيمَ الصَّلَاةِ وَمِن ذُرِّيَّتِي ۚ رَبَّنَا وَتَقَبَّلْ دُعَاءِ

My Lord, establish prayer for me and [also] my offspring. Our Lord, and accept my supplication.

Rabbi ij'alni muqeem as-salati wa min dhurriyyati, Rabbana wa taqabbal du'a'

When to Read

This dua, found in the Noble Quran, is perfect for reciting when you feel a calling to positively influence those around you. Whether you're starting a new initiative, mentoring someone, or simply seeking to be a better example, this supplication can be made at any time, but especially after prayers or during moments of sincere reflection.

How to Read

Recite this ayah with heartfelt sincerity, focusing on the intention of not only being steadfast in your own practice but also enabling and inspiring your family and community to do the same. Visualize the positive impact you wish to have and ask Allah (SWT) to make you a means of good for others. It's best recited with a clear mind and a hopeful heart.

Virtues & Benefits

This ayah encapsulates a profound request for establishing not just personal righteousness, but also the righteousness of one's progeny and, by extension, those within their sphere of influence. By asking Allah to make us 'muqeem as-salat' (establishers of prayer), we are asking for the ability to embody and then inspire the pillars of our faith. The latter part, 'wa taqabbal du'a'' (and accept my supplication), shows our reliance on Allah's acceptance and power to make our efforts fruitful.
