Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: 'O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the torment of Hell, from the torment of the grave, from the trial of the Dajjal, and from the trial of life and death. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from evil, and from the Dajjal. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from what is good which You have, and I seek refuge in You from evil which You have, and I seek refuge in You from ruin, and from sin and debt.' A man said to him: 'O Allah's Messenger, how much you seek refuge from the debt!' He said: 'If a man incurs debt, he speaks, and lies; he promises, and breaks it.' And there was another man who was an old man, leaning on two sons of his, and Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: 'No doubt, it is necessary to fear Allah, and it is necessary to be good, and it is necessary to be lenient.' He also said: 'O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, pure provision, and deeds that are accepted.'
