يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ
O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.
Ya muqallibal-qulubi, thabbit qalbi 'ala dinik.
When to Read
This is a powerful dua to recite frequently, especially after every prayer (salat) and at any moment you feel your resolve wavering or when seeking to deepen your connection with Allah. It's particularly relevant when embarking on new spiritual endeavors or striving for self-improvement, asking Allah to anchor your efforts in sincerity.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincere intention and a humble heart. Understand the meaning of 'Muqallib al-Qulub' – Allah is the one who changes and controls the state of hearts. Feel the vulnerability of the human heart and the absolute reliance on Allah for guidance and steadfastness. It is best to raise your hands slightly when making this dua, as was the practice of the Prophet ﷺ.
Virtues & Benefits
The primary benefit is seeking Allah's help to remain firm on the path of Islam. Spiritual growth requires consistency and unwavering dedication, and this dua directly asks the One who controls our hearts to grant that stability. It's a recognition that true improvement comes not solely from our own efforts, but from Allah's continuous support and guidance.

Yahya related to me from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, that he heard Anas b. Malik say: 'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The son of Adam is in the state of being between the command of Allah and His decree. If Allah has willed a thing, he (the son of Adam) will not go against His command, and if Allah has not willed a thing, he will not have it.' And Yahya said: 'I heard Malik say: 'The son of Adam is in the state of being between the command of Allah and His decree.' And Yahya related to me from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Salim b. 'Abdullah, from his father 'Abdullah b. 'Umar that he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The hearts of the children of Adam are between the two fingers of the Most Merciful, as one heart. He turns it however He wills.' And then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'O Allah, Turner of the hearts, turn our hearts to Your obedience.'
