أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ
I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.
A'udhu bikalimatillahit-tammati min sharri ma khalaq
When to Read
This powerful dua is perfect for reciting daily, especially in the morning and evening. It's also highly recommended to read it when you feel uneasy about the well-being of your family, or after someone has expressed admiration for your children or household, as this can sometimes be an unintentional trigger for the evil eye.
How to Read
Recite this dua three times in the morning and three times in the evening. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to blow into our palms and recite this and a few other duas, then wipe over our entire body, starting with the head and front. This practice reinforces the seeking of Allah's protection over ourselves and our loved ones.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua is a direct Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, offering a potent shield against all forms of created evil, including the subtle yet harmful effects of the evil eye and jealousy. By seeking refuge in Allah's perfect words, we acknowledge His ultimate power and sovereignty over all matters, trusting in His protection. It's a beautiful way to instill a sense of divine guardianship over our families, fostering peace of mind and strengthening our reliance on Allah.

‘Uthman ibn Affan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who says this three times every morning and evening will not be harmed by anything." Abu Dawud added: "...from the evil of everything that He created." So, the dua is: أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ Translation: 'I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created.'
