Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'There is no one who does not have two angels who surround him and he does not miss any good or evil but they mention it. Then it is said to him: 'What is this?' He says: 'I asked Allah, the Mighty and Sublime, for knowledge.' So he said: 'You have asked Allah for knowledge, so seek more of it, and you have asked Him for the knowledge that benefits you, so seek it. And you have asked Allah for the knowledge that benefits you, so seek it. And you have asked Allah for the knowledge that benefits you, so seek it.' And he taught us a supplication: 'O Allah, benefit me from what You have taught me, teach me what is beneficial for me, and increase me in knowledge.'
