Source & Authentication
Narrated by Zayd ibn Khalid al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) led us in the Fajr prayer during the Hudaibiyah treaty (which took place) in the rainy season. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) finished the prayer, he turned to the people and said, 'Do you know what your Lord said?' They said, 'Allah and His Messenger know best.' He said, 'He said: Some of My slaves remained as believers in Me and some became disbelievers. Those who said, 'We have been rained upon by the grace of Allah and His mercy,' are those who remained believers in Me, and the stars did not rain for us.' And as for those who said, 'We have been rained upon by such and such a star,' they are those who disbelieved in Me and were disbelievers in the stars.' (Sahih al-Bukhari 6306)
