O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for forgiveness and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my property. O Allah, conceal my faults and alleviate my anxieties. O Allah, protect me from my front, from behind me, from my right, from my left, and from above me. I seek refuge in Your magnificence lest I be consumed from beneath me.
Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Allahumma-hfadhni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi, wa 'an yamini wa 'an shimali, wa min fawqi, wa a'udhu bi-'azamatika an ughtala min tahti.
When to Read
This is a comprehensive dua for all-encompassing protection. It's perfect to recite in the morning and evening, as the Prophet ﷺ taught us to seek refuge and ask for well-being daily. You can also turn to it whenever you feel a sense of vulnerability or a need for Allah's shield against any potential harm, whether physical, spiritual, or related to your livelihood and family.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and a heart that truly believes in Allah's power to protect. Raise your hands as you begin, mirroring the Prophet's ﷺ practice. Focus on each part of the dua: seeking well-being (Afiyah), forgiveness ('Afw), protection for your faith, family, and wealth, concealment of flaws, security from fear, and seeking refuge from all directions of harm, including sudden downfall. Imagine Allah's protective light enveloping you as you utter these words.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua is incredibly powerful because it covers both worldly safety and spiritual security in the Hereafter. Asking for 'Afiyah (well-being) encompasses protection from all forms of affliction, illness, hardship, and distress, both manifest and hidden. It is a comprehensive request that encapsulates the best of what a believer can ask for. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: 'The dua of a Muslim for his brother in his absence is answered. An angel is at his head, and whenever he prays for his brother, the angel says: Ameen, and for you to be the like of it.' (Sahih Muslim 2185) While this hadith is about praying for others, the principle of sincere supplication being answered is key. By asking Allah for well-being, you are essentially asking for His grace to keep you safe from all evils and to grant you ease and contentment.

Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati.
