اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا، وَرِزْقًا طَيِّبًا، وَعَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً

O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, goodly provision, and acceptable deeds.

Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan

When to Read

Recite this dua specifically when you are facing a decision, especially one that feels overwhelming or has significant implications. It’s a powerful supplication to ask for Allah's guidance in discerning the best course of action, ensuring your knowledge is useful, your provision is pure, and your efforts are accepted, all of which contribute to making sound choices.

How to Read

Raise your hands (optional but recommended for dua) and recite this with sincerity and conviction. Focus on the meaning of each phrase, truly asking Allah for these three essential elements. It’s best recited in a state of purity (wudu) if possible, and with humility.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua, taught by the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, addresses three vital pillars for navigating life's complexities: beneficial knowledge allows us to understand and act rightly; goodly provision ensures our sustenance is pure and blessed, free from unlawful earnings that can cloud judgment; and acceptable deeds mean our efforts are recognized and rewarded by Allah, encouraging righteous actions. By asking for these, we seek Allah's assistance in making decisions that align with His will and bring about good in this life and the next.
