اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ فِعْلَ خَيْرَاتِ، وَتَرْكَ الْمُنْكَرَاتِ، وَحُبَّ الْمَسَاكِينِ، وَإِذَا أَرَدْتَ فِي النَّاسِ فِتْنَةً فَتَوَفَّنِي إِلَيْكَ غَيْرَ مَفْتُونٍ، أَسْأَلُكَ حُبَّكَ، وَحُبَّ مَنْ يُحِبُّكَ، وَحُبَّ عَمَلٍ يُقَرِّبُنِي إِلَى حُبِّكَ
O Allah, I ask You to enable me to do good deeds, abandon evil deeds, and to love the poor. And when You intend to bring a trial upon people, take me to Yourself without having fallen into it. I ask You for Your love, and the love of those who love You, and the love of deeds which bring me closer to Your love.
Allahumma inni as'aluka fi'la khayrat, wa tark al-munkarat, wa hubb al-masakin, wa idha aradta fin-nasi fitnah, fa tawaffani ilayka ghayra maftun. As'aluka hubbak, wa hubba man yuhibbuk, wa hubba 'amalin yuqarribuni ila hubbik.

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet (peace be upon him) supplicated: 'O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency.' (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3502). Another narration states: 'Abdullah bin Mas'ud said: "The Prophet (peace be upon him) taught me a comprehensive supplication: 'O Allah, I ask You for the deed of the good-doers, and the piety of the pious, and sincerity in repentance, and a firm resolve to follow the right path, and the courage of the contented, and the gratitude of the grateful, and the remembrance of the thankful, and the good conduct towards women. O Allah, I ask You for the good of this life and the Good of the Hereafter.'" (Sunan At-Tirmidhi 3502).
