Virtues & Benefits

This dua is a powerful means of seeking Allah's divine protection for a vulnerable newborn. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself used this supplication, signifying its importance and efficacy. By invoking Allah's perfect words, we are asking for His ultimate safeguard against the whispers of Shaitan (Satan) and the influence of any harmful elements, including the 'evil eye,' which are concepts known within Islamic tradition. It’s a way to welcome the child into the world under Allah's watchfulness and care, setting a foundation of reliance on Him from the very beginning.

Narrated by Ibn 'Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him): The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to seek refuge for Al-Hasan and Al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them) saying: 'I seek refuge for you both with Allah's perfect words, from every devil and every poisonous creature and from every evil eye.'
