اللَّهُمَّ عَلِّمْهُ الْحِكْمَةَ وَفِصْحَةَ اللِّسَانِ
O Allah, grant him wisdom and eloquence of speech.

When to Read
This dua can be recited after the birth of a child, ideally during the Tahneek (chewing a date and rubbing it on the baby's palate) or anytime during the child's early years, especially as they begin to babble and attempt their first words. It's a beautiful way to invoke Allah's blessings for their intellectual and communicative development.
How to Read
Recite this dua with sincerity and conviction, focusing on the meaning. You can raise your hands in supplication or gently whisper it over your child. It's often recommended to recite it during times when duas are more likely to be accepted, such as after prayers or during the night. The act itself is a reflection of our reliance on Allah for all aspects of our children's lives.
Virtues & Benefits
Seeking Allah's help for eloquence and wisdom from a young age sets a strong foundation for a child's ability to communicate effectively, understand complex matters, and express themselves clearly throughout their life. It's an investment in their future ability to convey truth, engage in meaningful discourse, and use their intellect positively. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself was known for his eloquence, and seeking this quality for our children is a noble aspiration.
