O Allah, I ask You for well-being in this world and the Hereafter. O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and set at ease my fears. O Allah, protect me from my front, my back, my right, my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your Magnificence from being taken from beneath me.
Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal 'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: I said, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Teach me something to ask Allah for.' He said: 'O Allah, I ask You for 'Afiyah (well-being).' I stayed for a day and then came to him and said: 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Teach me something to ask Allah for.' He said to me: 'O Allah, I ask You for pardon and 'Afiyah (well-being) in my religion, my worldly affairs, my family, and my wealth. O Allah, conceal my weaknesses and set at ease my fears. O Allah, protect me from my front, my back, my right, my left, and from above me, and I seek refuge in Your Magnificence from being taken from beneath me.' He said: 'O 'Abbas, you should ask Allah for 'Afiyah in this world and the Hereafter.' So I asked Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) to teach me a comprehensive supplication. He taught me to say: 'Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afiyata fid-dunya wal-akhirah. Allahumma inni as'alukal-'afwa wal-'afiyata fi dini wa dunyaya wa ahli wa mali. Allahumma-stur 'awrati wa amin raw'ati. Allahumma-hfazni min bayni yadayya wa min khalfi wa 'an yadini wa 'an shimali wa min fawqi, wa a'udhu bi 'azamatika an ugh-tala min tahti.'
