How to Read

Virtues & Benefits
This dua directly addresses the core of spiritual warfare: the heart. By asking Allah, the One who controls all hearts, to keep it firm on His deen, we are seeking protection from misguidance and spiritual weakness. It's a recognition of our utter dependence on Allah for our faith and a proactive step to maintain our connection and commitment to Him, especially when facing internal or external spiritual challenges.

The chapter title in Sahih Muslim is 'From the Book of the Remembrance of Allah, Supplication, Repentance and Seeking Forgiveness'. The hadith states: 'Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to say often: O Turner of the hearts, make my heart firm upon Your religion. I said: Messenger of Allah, we have believed in you and in the guidance you have brought. Do you then fear for us? He (ﷺ) said: Yes, the hearts are between the fingers of the Merciful, and He causes them to turn over (as He wills).'
