Source & Authentication

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet (ﷺ) used to say: 'O Allah, I ask You for beneficial knowledge, good provision, and accepted deeds.' (Sahih Muslim 7. Also found in Sunan Ibn Majah 3846 and Sunan An-Nasa'i 6, with slight variations in wording but the same core meaning). The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us a comprehensive dua that covers the pillars of a blessed life: knowledge that guides, provision that is pure, and actions that are accepted by our Creator. This beautiful supplication, when made with a sincere heart, can indeed be a source of strength when life throws unforeseen challenges our way. By asking for accepted deeds, we are indirectly asking for Allah's mercy and support in fulfilling our responsibilities, even when circumstances are tough. It reminds us that our ultimate aim is pleasing Allah, and with that intention, patience becomes a natural consequence.
