Patience & Sabr
Hasan HadithSunan An-Nasa'i 1305

O Allah, I ask You for patience during what I dislike, and a happy life after this [life]. And I ask You for coolness of the eye that does not cease. And I ask You for contentment after Your decree, and I ask You for the pleasantness of life after death, and I ask You for the delight of looking at Your Face, and longing to meet You, without any distressing harm or misleading trial. O Allah, adorn us with the adornment of faith, and make us guides who guide others and are guided.

Allahumma inni as'aluka sabran 'ala ma karihtu, wa 'ayshan ba'di sa'idan, wa as'aluka qurrata 'aynin la tanfadu, wa as'aluka ar-rida ba'da al-qada', wa as'aluka barda al-'ayshi ba'da al-mawt, wa as'aluka ladhdhatan-nathari ila wajhik, wash-shawqa ila liqa'ik, fi ghayri darra'in mudirratin, wa la fitnatin mudillatin. Allahumma zayyinna bizinatul-imani, waj'alna hudatan muhtadeen.
