This dua directly addresses the core of our being – our hearts. By asking Allah to keep our hearts firm on His religion, we are seeking an inner strength that underpins our ability to face trials with patience (sabr). Source & Authentication
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to supplicate often: 'O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm on Your religion.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! We believed in you and in what you were sent with. Do you fear for us?' He said: 'Yes, the hearts are between two fingers of the Merciful. He turns the heart however He wills.'
