O Allah, I ask You for steadfastness in all matters, and determination in righteousness. I ask You to enable me to be grateful for Your blessings and to worship You in the best way. I ask You for a sound heart and a truthful tongue. I ask You for the good You know, and I seek refuge in You from the evil You know. I seek Your forgiveness for what You know. Indeed, You are the Knower of hidden things.
Allahumma inni as'aluk ath-thabata fil-amr, wal-'azeemata 'alar-rushd, wa as'aluka shukra ni'matik, wa husna 'ibadatik, wa as'aluka qalban saleeman, wa lisaanan sadiqan, wa as'aluka min khairi ma ta'lam, wa a'udhu bika min sharri ma ta'lam, wa astaghfiruka lima ta'lam, innaka anta 'allamul-ghuyoob.

It's particularly beneficial when you feel a sense of uncertainty or apprehension about the path ahead. Make it a habit to recite it daily during times of transition.
How to Read
This comprehensive supplication is best recited after your obligatory prayers (Salat), or during the times when duas are more readily accepted, such as the last third of the night, between the Adhan and Iqamah, or when making Umrah and Hajj. Raise your hands in supplication as you did when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us to make dua. Make sincere intentions and reflect on the meaning of each request.
Virtues & Benefits
This dua is a powerful request for divine guidance and strength. Asking for 'steadfastness in all matters' (ath-thabata fil-amr) and 'determination in righteousness' (al-'azeemata 'alar-rushd) helps us stay on the straight path, especially when faced with new challenges or temptations. The request for 'gratitude for Your blessings' (shukra ni'matik) and 'worship You in the best way' (husna 'ibadatik) ensures that our successes are met with thankfulness and our efforts are directed towards pleasing Allah. Furthermore, seeking a 'sound heart' (qalban saleeman) and a 'truthful tongue' (lisaanan sadiqan) are foundational for spiritual well-being and maintaining good character. Finally, acknowledging Allah as the 'Knower of hidden things' (allamul-ghuyoob) humbles us and places our trust entirely in His perfect plan.
