يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِكَ

O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.

Ya muqallibal-qulubi, thabbit qalbi 'ala deenika.

When to Read

Recite this when you feel your connection to Allah weakening, when prayers feel like a chore, or when you struggle to find joy in acts of worship. It's a beautiful supplication for those moments when spiritual dryness sets in, reminding us that our hearts are in Allah's hands and we must constantly seek His help to remain steadfast.

How to Read

This is a profound supplication that should be recited with sincere intention and a humble heart. It's best to say it after your obligatory prayers, or at any time you feel your faith wavering. Visualize your heart being held and strengthened by Allah (Exalted is He) as you utter the words. Repeating it throughout the day can also be beneficial.

Virtues & Benefits

This dua is a direct plea to Allah (Exalted is He) for stability in faith. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, who had the most steadfast heart, would often make this supplication. It acknowledges our reliance on Allah for guidance and firmness, especially during times of doubt or spiritual lethargy. Keeping our hearts fixed on religion ensures our actions and intentions remain aligned with Allah's pleasure.

Source & Authentication

Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to say frequently: 'O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm upon Your religion.' I said: 'O Messenger of Allah! What makes you so concerned about the hearts?' He said: 'No son of Adam is there except that his heart is between two of the fingers of the Most Merciful, the Blessed, the High. If He wills, He makes him straight, and if He wills, He makes him crooked.'
